The 5th December saw the launch of Dear Children… at Tooting Market. Santa & his Elf, Luna arrived on top of the market. They met some of the local children to talk about the true meaning of Christmas before getting fed by the traders.
With their boots full, they began their tour of Earlsfield on the 6th December – St Nicholas Day! Visiting over 40 houses in the first of seven days of fundraising for Earlsfield Foodbank. It was a well-loved on its first day!
“Thank you so much for an amazing Santa and Elf visit this evening on Nikolaus day! The Children could not believe it and it was a fantastic performance – much better and more authentic than any Santa’s grotto so I hope you will do it again next year as well!!??”
“I just wanted to briefly say thank you very much for Saturday. The Santa visit was very nicely done and we all enjoyed it very much. Thank you for all of your hard work organising it.”
“Just wanted to say a massive thank you for the Santa visit. Our almost four-year-old absolutely loved it (and so did his little sister in her own way!). He had been asking us about how Father Christmas knew what to do, so it was magic to have him ring the doorbell. We appreciate how much effort it must have taken to organise and for the many visits they are making in the cold. We hope it makes a difference for Earlsfield food bank.”
Bounce so far has raised over £3,500 for Earlsfield Foodbank. With Tooting Market getting involved and running an accompanying fundraising campaign for the duration of the tour we hope to increase that donation. Santa and Luna will be back at the market on the 23rd December to announce the final amount raised. You can wave them goodbye at 4pm before they return to the North Pole to pack up for the big night.
