New for November
November marks 14 years of Bounce. So, as the nights draw in, we are lighting up the dark with a month of projects about kindness and cake. Our new work includes:
Digital
Care Zine: Our Grace Dear Zine for November focuses on tiny acts of self care. From mindfulness, to out door walks, to improvised poetry. Free to download and available in print upon request.
Winter Stories: Our new project with Kingston launches on 13th November for World Kindness Day. A blend of digital content will be integrated by in person projects co-created with local residents.
Things to do in a Blackout: Things to do in a Blackout was a pre lockdown project looking at the rise in crime during WW2. Exploring stories of crime, compassion and care it was Initially planned as a performance. It has since been reimagined as a digital art project featuring a radio drama, work from our young writers and photography from work before lockdown.
In Person
Cake and Collage Club: Our new club opens in Earlsfield on Tuesdays. Hosted by the Home Cafe in Earlsfield, we are offering an intergenerational session from 1-3. Followed by a children and young people’s session from 3.30-5.30. Both groups will work towards a community exhibition celebrating the kindnesses that have carried us through 2020.
Earth Day Takeover: A visual art and drama project for young people age 11+ in Tooting. Weekly workshops take place on Wednesdays at the Trident Centre. Young people are invited to make work that celebrates their relationship with the environment.
