“You can travel the world plate by plate in Tooting”
Wednesdays
Open to young people age 11-16
Join us as we discover how food connects us to the world. Working with the National Archives to access documents from the Ministry of Food, young people are creating a podcast of food stories. Listening to how we cook, record, and share information about what we eat. The things that remain unchanged – like the staple ingredient – the potato, through to how advances in health, farming, sustainability, and technology shape what we eat.
Episodes coming up:
– Food as a human right.
– Britishness – more than a fry up.
– Our first post lockdown meal – the restaurants we miss.
– Food & travelling
– Food & language
– The origins of food & climate change.
